Leap into School Psychology - Online Information Session

With more than 670 school psychologists working in metropolitan and regional public schools, we are the biggest employer of psychologists in Western Australia. We are also a growing service and employing more psychologists from a wide range of backgrounds to support students and school communities.
Working in a range of educational settings, school psychologists provide services to public schools in the areas of mental health and wellbeing, disability, behaviour, learning and motivation, incident management, and change management and organisational development.
As a school psychologist, you can make a real difference in the lives of many young people. It is a rewarding and diverse role with enticing benefits and conditions, and training and career opportunities which are envied by psychologists around the country.
You don't need a teaching qualification to work as a school psychologist.
Do you want to take a 'leap' into school psychology?
This fully-funded innovative program has been developed to increase your knowledge about working as a psychologist in schools. The program is suitable for psychologists with:
- general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, who are looking to leap into a school psychology career
- provisional registration, either completing internships or in the final months of postgraduate studies in psychology (i.e. Master of Professional Psychology)

This online session will take you through the key components of the program:
- five self-paced modules
- webinars and guest speakers (held on Wednesday evenings)
- work shadowing of our school psychologists
- presentation day, where participants come together to share their learning
- how to apply
