Launching! Parity: February 2026 “prevention and early intervention”

Ozanam HouseNorth Melbourne, VIC
Wednesday, Mar 4 from 11 am to 12:30 pm AEDT
Overview

Parity magazine – the go-to resource for anyone who wants to end homelessness – is launching a very special, new-look edition!

Relevant, informative and provocative, Parity is the 'town square' for the specialist homelessness services sector and every Victorian interested in ending homelessness. A space to share ideas, challenge assumptions and rally the energy and innovation we need to create a more equitable Victoria.

In 2026, the magazine is relaunching with a new look and new format. In addition to the in-depth theme spotlights that Parity has always been valued for, each edition will now also feature timely general articles, interviews and essential tips and perspectives.

In the February 2026 edition, you’ll find:

  • The “prevention and early intervention” spotlight theme, examining how we can progress prevention efforts, including an interview with Dr Stephen Gaetz, of the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness.
  • A conversation with Bryan Lipmann AM, former Wintringham CEO, reflecting on the early days of the organisation and how a commitment to social justice continues to fuel him.
  • Community legal centres call for action on recent local government measures taking an enforcement approach to homelessness.
  • Garry, client volunteer and gardener at Oz House, shares his story and thoughts on how horticulture can play a role in healing.

Join us on Wednesday 4 March at VincentCare’s Ozanam House (North Melbourne) for a launch that brings the magazine’s content to life with:

  • A sector leader panel discussing prevention efforts and how we can shift the dial.
  • Lived experience advisers from the Housing Safety Project sharing their collective statement calling for co-designed solutions.
  • Plus, a very special gardening workshop with Garry the gardener, exploring the nurturing role of plants.

Come along to pick up a copy of the mag. RSVP now to reserve your spot.
