Join us again at the Kula Yoga Festival for a gathering of like minded people who love yoga or are curious and would like to try yoga. Meet beautiful yoga teachers who come together to share their passion and knowledge with the yoga community.
Kula has a few meanings in Sanskrit. For us it means “Community and Tribe”.
Everybody who practices Yoga in the past and present as well as those liking to try Yoga for the first time are all most welcome to join us at the Kula Yoga Festival in the lush, tranquil setting of Nature – this is a place where we share and give and be a part of the whole.
The Grove, placed on 40 acres of beautiful hillsides and river-flats is surrounded by national parks, is a magical place to connect with fellow yogis, yourself and our Mother Earth. It is a place where community meets, creates, relaxes and re-energises. There is also gorgeous tidal river to refresh and cool down.
Kula Yoga Festival is a "private not for profit” “self-responsibility” “leave no trace” event.
This means that all the teachers, practitioners and organisers are here in the spirit of compassion and generosity. This is the reason we can keep the cost of event to a minimum and can offer it to the greater community.
Kula Yoga Festival is deemed a private event on private land and all participants attending at The Grove agree to take full responsibility for their own physical health, safety and wellbeing. Upon your arrival and registration you will need to sign a waiver, to declare that are informed of this.
To respect our land and the custodians that have shared their home with us, we ask that you leave no trace of yourself when you leave. All rubbish and unwanted items are to be taken with you.
KULA WELLNESS SPACE
There is a designated Chai-lax area and Community Gathering area where we can meet, relax, exchange, drink chai, sit by the fire, enjoy nature and the beautiful energy around us.
KULA VEGAN KITCHEN
We have an established food preparation, cooking area and wash up space that is the central hub for our communal meals.
Whatever food you leave in the kitchen is for the use of the community meals.
As part of your entry requirements, everybody needs to bring their own vegan food and beverages along with a bit more for the lovely yoga teachers, practitioners and organisers.
While you cater to your own breakfast, we would like to make lunch and dinner a shared community event. This is why sharing of food ingredients is vital. Be inspired by what you bring. No meat please.
We request everyone to participate in Karma Yoga over the weekend to assist with the preparation and the cooking of meals as well as the washing up. If every attendee puts in about 2 hours we are guaranteed to be feasting on delicious vegetarian food prepared with love. Yes even the wash up allows food to prepared with love. There is also
