Overview

Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum training for Early Years educators of children and young people from birth to year 2.

Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC)

The KS:CPC is a comprehensive child safety and respectful relationships curriculum for children and young people from birth to year 12.

In South Australia, the KS:CPC is mandated in all Department for Education and Catholic Education sites and is used in independent schools.

Educators who deliver the KS:CPC to children and young people must complete the full-day Educator course.

For more information, go to the Department for Education's Child Protection Curriculum - Information for educators page.

Early Years focus

This course is equivalent to the KS:CPC Educator course (General), but allows discussion to focus on children from birth to year 2. There is no requirement for early years educators to complete this version of the course over a general course (for educators of children and young people age 3 to year 12); the course certificate is the same.
