The Chau Chak Wing Museum and the Council of Australian University Museums and Collections (CAUMAC), are hosting the 2026 Knowledgeable Object Symposium. The day will showcase diverse and practical applications for working with objects in education and museum contexts.
It is aimed at OBL practitioners including teachers and professionals in Education (Tertiary, Secondary, Primary, Early Learning) and the GLAM sector.
Wednesday 18 November 9am-4:30pm
Morning: Plenary-style presentations showcasing examples from across GLAM and EDU sectors
Afternoon: Interactive mini-workshops

Registration includes a catered lunch, a full day of stimulating talks, programs and conversations, as well as access to recordings post-event.
The Conference will not be a live hybrid event. For those who cannot attend there is a digital ticket available for access to recordings post-event.
