LADIES OF LEISURE (LOL)is a creative collective based in Melbourne-Naarm.We're about supporting vision, creativity, and vulnerability in its many different forms. We want LOL to excite, inspire and encourage through profiling the people who are making *it* happen and providing insights as to how they're doing it.LOL is a community that celebrates strength, weakness, success, and process, running a wide variety of workshops with industry leaders to assist creative people in pursuit of their passions and help like-minded people connect and collaborate.As well as running workshops, we publish zines, create films, make and sell a range of fab merch.Ladies of Leisure would like to acknowledge that this event is being held on stolen land. We wish to acknowledge the custodians of this land, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation and their Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded, and colonial violence continues to this day.

LEADER BIO: ROSE DONOHOE Rose Donohoe is a Melbourne journalist, originally from the wrong side of the river. She currently works as a reporter for online news site The New Daily, following stints in book publishing and Amsterdam’s zine scene. Her writing has appeared in VICE, Open Journal and Broadsheet, and she has created branded content for organisations such as AustralianSuper, Neuw Denim, ME Bank and Tourism WA.
In 2015, she presented her master’s thesis, ‘Relics of the Analogue Age? The Book Clubs of Generation Y’ at the Wheeler Centre. 
LEADER BIO: BOBUQ SAYED Bobuq Sayed is a queer and non-binary writer of the Afghan diaspora who is currently co-editing their first issue of Archer Magazine. They recently collaborated and danced with the performance collective Embittered Swish for a show held at La Mama, Courthouse. Their writing revolves around issues of displacement, Islam and shame. They tweet @BobuckSayed.
LEADER BIO: ANNABEL BRADY-BROWN Annabel’s literary fiction and cultural criticism has appeared in Australia and overseas in the pages of The Lifted Brow, The Canary Press, Kill Your Darlings, Indiewire, Variety, The Big Issue, Overland, 4:3, Junkee, Time Out, Stilts, The Suburban Review, Fireflies and more. 
Annabel is a Founding Editor/Publisher of Fireflies and Co-Editor of The Lifted Brow. She has previously worked as Assistant Editor at Exberliner Magazine, self-published the ZINEZINE series, and interned at The Reader Berlin and Time Out Melbourne. She was one of ten emerging film critics invited to participate in the Locarno Critics Campus 2016.
Annabel holds a Master of Creative Writing, Editing and Publishing from the University of Melbourne, as well as a B.A. (Creative Writing).
LEADER BIO: MADISON GRIFFITHS  Madison Griffiths is an artist, poet and writer from Melbourne with a keen interest in reflecting on her own truths, femininity, and feminist theory in her work. Madison’s work has been published in The Sydney Morning Herald, VICE, Catalogue Magazine, The Creators Project, Pedestrian.tv, Fracture, The Ladies Network, and Ladies of Leisure. LEADER BIO: TARA KENNY Tara Kenny is a Melbourne-based writer and online editor (of LOL) with an interest in feminist international relations theory, cultural identities, and social justice. Her work has been published in Overland, Ladies of Leisure, Spook Magazine, Broadsheet, GoodGood Girl, and The Age, and she has created content for a wide variety of organisations and projects, from Amnesty International to Fat Brad, a cookbook about the eats of Brad Pitt. Tara is completing a Master of International Relations at the University of Melbourne and holds a Bachelor of Professional Communications from RMIT.
