Kitchen lithographyThe popular workshop is back! Join me to learn about the exciting technique of kitchen lithography, invented by French artist Émilie Aizie. This non-toxic, simple process utilises principles of stone lithography using items found in your kitchen such as aluminium foil, vegetable oil and soda. It allows to create diverse gestural marks using a variety of drawing tools. You will learn about colour in printmaking, layers and working with transparencies.It is a great technique that you can explore in your home studio as it doesn’t require a press or any specialised equipment!Explore the colour further and register for monotype workshop on the same day to receive a 10% discount! She obtained her MA from the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Wroclaw, Poland and MFA from San Francisco Art Institute, USA and PhD from Curtin University. Monika’s artworks have been widely exhibited internationally in China, Japan, Turkey, Sweden and Germany amongst others . She works as a sessional academic and research assistant at Curtin University, is a Print Council of Australia Representative for Western Australia. She has over 10 years of experience in printmaking.
