An age old way to minimise waste to landfillKintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken ceramics back together with gold — built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art.Every break is unique and instead of repairing an item like new, the 400-year-old technique actually highlights the &quot;scars&quot; as a part of the design.Important Information:<ul><li>The workshop itself is free but each attendee is required to purchase a gold repair kit for $75 before Friday 12 May via <a href="https://www.jazelleart.com.au/collections/diy-craft-kits/products/kintsugi-repair-diy-kit" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">this link</a>. The kit will be provided for you at the event. After the workshop, the gold repair kit is yours to keep to do more Kintsugi at home in the future! Bring the following items for recycling at Piney Lakes when you attend a workshop: household batteries, printer cartridges, light globes, mobile phones and chargers, writing instruments, plastic bread tags, beauty packaging, oral care products, plastic bottle lids and medication blister packets.
