About this event

Come along to the King St Book Club and join us for an evening of lively and in-depth discussion of the award-winning novel The Wren, The Wren by Booker Prize-winning Irish author, Anne Enright.

A contemporary novel of daughterhood and motherhood; A multigenerational novel that traces the inheritance not just of trauma but also of wonder, it is a testament to the glorious resilience of women in the face of promises false and true. Above all, it is an exploration of the love between mother and daughter – sometimes fierce, often painful, but always transcendent.

'A magnificent novel'
SALLY ROONEY, author of NORMAL PEOPLE

'Might just be her best yet'
LOUISE KENNEDY, author of TRESPASSES'

Gem-packed language... A must-read'
MARGARET ATWOOD, author of THE HANDMAID'S TALE (via Twitter)

The book and conversation facilitated by Avid Reader's Bookclubs Manager, Jennifer Stephens, a glass of wine, and tastes of King Street are all included in your book club ticket.

This month we will meet in the beautiful gallery space at artisan, amidst the current exhibition: Daniel Agdag + Glen Skien - CHAIRMEN OF THE BOARD.
