Event description

Description

In this workshop, Kimono stylist Sachiko (Kimonoya in Brisbane) talks about Kimono and the history.

Sachiko will then teach you how to dress and wear a kimono correctly.

While Sachiko is dressing you in Kimono, the people waiting for their turn will make small Ikebana floral arrangements with Mikiko (Kent Florist), and you will be able to take them home afterwords.

We will provide your Kimono, Obi, Nagajuban, Tabi and other acessories. However if you wish to bring your own Kimono, Obi and all other essencial items, you can save $20.(cash back on the day)

Once dressed in the full kimono we will assist you in taking photographs with your camera device. These photographs can be taken in the small Japanese garden located here in central Paddington. Please note, this is a private home and garden, and the home therefore has no signage located outside.

At 12 noon, Sachiko will demonstarte how to undress correctly, fold and care for your kimono.

Before booking this ticket, please read the terms and conditions outlined below. We trust that all those attending agree to these terms and conditions.
