Join contemporary abstract artist Angelina Mirabito for a playful and imaginative Safari Plaster Painting Workshop designed for children of all ages.

Let your child’s creativity roam free in this hands-on painting session where young artists paint and decorate their very own safari-themed plaster animals. Inspired by colour, pattern, and texture, children will explore brushwork and personal expression while creating a unique artwork to take home.

Crafted from smooth plaster, the safari figure is easy to paint and provides an ideal surface for experimenting with colour mixing, layering, and simple design details. All materials are provided, making the session relaxed, accessible, and fun for all skill levels.

What’s included:
• Safari-themed plaster figures
• All paints and brushes
• Drinks & snacks
• A welcoming, creative atmosphere

Important information:
• This workshop is suitable for children of all ages
• Parent or guardian attendance is required

Come for the colour, stay for the adventure — and enjoy a relaxed, shared creative experience. 🐘🎨

About the Artist

Melbourne-based artist Angelina Mirabito brings a background in Creative Writing (PhD) and a practice shaped by her Italian heritage. Also using unconventional materials and tools—palette knives, sticks, hands, and ladles—she builds layered surfaces that translate internal experiences into vibrant, tactile paintings. Her work explores the intersection of emotion, movement, and materiality, drawing attention to the physical and sensory depth of abstract expression.

The exhibition and all events are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all visitors.
