Kambarang Film Festival (Bunuru Edition)

Murdoch University Creative Academy, with the School of Media and Communication, proudly announces the return of the KAMBARANG FILM FESTIVAL

This is a re-scheduled event from last year and is within the Noongar season of Bunuru - which sees many fruits come into season - and we will highlight the many rich fruits of creativity and screen practice at this special screening event.

These selected films were produced within the final years of the students' Screen Production major and awarded GOLD status at that year’s final year Creative Showcase - with a Silver awarded film being a special invitee to this festival.

All films are advised as being aimed at a MATURE AUDIENCE with some containing adult themes and language.

Tickets are limited so get in early!

Thursday 19th February 2026 at the NEXUS Theatre, Murdoch Unverty, South Street.

• 5pm-6pm: Pre-drinks (for sale) and canapes in the Kim E. Beasley Lecture Theatre foyer

• 8pm-8.30pm: Announcement of the Inaugural Murdoch University Creative Academy Honorary Award and the ‘Best of Best’ Award + Q & A with selected filmmakers.
