Explore the amazing Pink Lakes and discover the natural treasures of this semi-arid landscape on this ranger led activity. Put your treasure hunting skills to the test by exploring the Murray-Sunset National Park's extraordinary Pink Lakes and find out what makes the plants and animals so resilient in these dry conditions.

This activity is suitable for children age 6-12 years, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over.

Please bring plenty of drinking water, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, wear enclosed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. Untreated tank water is available for hand-washing and dishes, but is not suitable for drinking.

There is a toilet, picnic facilities and fire places with grills (please bring your own firewood). Camping is free, no bookings required, and operates on a first-come first-served basis. This is a remote site with no mobile phone signal, so please be prepared.

Directions: meet at Lake Crosbie Camping Area, located in Murray Sunset National Park. Follow the Junior Ranger signs. Pink Lakes is accessible to 2WD vehicles from Underbool via the unsealed Pink Lakes Rd. Allow 20 minutes. Access from other directions is for 4WD vehicles with high ground clearance only.

All Junior Ranger activities are managed in alignment with the Victorian government guidelines for coronavirus (COVID-19). Due to current outdoor group restrictions, it is essential that a maximum of one accompanying adult per child is permitted during each Junior Ranger activity. In the interest of public safety, if you or your child are unwell please cancel your booking and do not attend the activity on the day.

The Victorian government have mandated masks to be worn by adults whilst outdoors and indoors in public areas. It is recommended primary aged children wear a mask whilst outdoors and indoors in public areas.
