Online event
Tuesday, Jul 14, 2026 from 10 am to 11 am AEST
Overview

July learning exchange to discuss evictions and exits from social housing and IHR due to anti-social behaviour

The session will focus on:

  • How services are currently managing behaviour-related exits
  • What happens after exit, when people have limited or no pathways
  • The practical and ethical challenges frontline services are carrying
  • Emerging risks, system pressures, and unintended consequences
  • What is working (even partially) and where gaps are most acute

The intent of this learning exchange is to:

  • Share approaches, constraints, and decision-making frameworks
  • Surface common challenges across programs and regions
  • Build shared understanding of system impacts
  • Identify opportunities for stronger coordination, escalation, and advocacy

This learning exchange is intended for:

  • Specialist homelessness services
  • Social and community housing providers
  • Services working within Interim and hotel-based responses
  • Government and policy staff
  • Tenancy sustainment, outreach, and complex needs teams

Participation is encouraged from those involved in policy implementation, service delivery, and system design and who wants to engage in a solution focused space.
