• It is a condition of application that you understand and agree to all the conditions and contents of the Test Guide.

• Applications from both in-state and interstate are allowed.

• Registrations will be taken in one application period only. NOT split over a Regular application period and an Additional application period.

• Refunds will no longer be allowed. Please be sure of a decision to apply prior to registering and paying.

Test date: July 7 (Sun), 2024.

Application period: March 5 (Tue) 9am AEDT – March 21 (Thu) 5pm AEDT or until capacity is reached, whichever occurs first.

Test Voucher: Sent by EMAIL approximately 1 month before the Test.

Test time: Assembly time will be printed on the Test Voucher. Assembly times vary per Test site. During the application period an indicative (tentative) time will be published. Test duration varies per Test Level and due to breaks.

Tests are concurrent (held on the same day, at approximately the same time). It is not physically possible to attend more than one Test.

Test location: Assembly location will be printed on the Test Voucher. During the application period, only a general location will be published. For details, please contact the appropriate Host Institution.

Important notes

• Selection of Test level and Test site is final from the moment of submitting an application and completing payment. No refunds will be granted.
• Your bank or credit card issuer may levy an additional fee on this transaction.
• Parents and guardians with multiple children taking the test must ensure each child is registered separately.
• Ensure you check your email, including spam/junk folders, for JLPT communications.

Special Testing Accommodations (STA) application process

Applicants with an impairment or disability may request STA.

1. Read the Test Guide and the instructions for requesting STA carefully before applying for STA.
2. Complete JLPT registration and select YES to the STA question in the registration form.
3. Obtain medical certificates to support your STA application.
4. Submit the completed STA application form with medical certificates to The Japan Foundation, Sydney via email by the STA application deadline. Submission email address: (jlpt_sy@jpf.go.jp)

STA application deadline: March 27 (Wed) 5pm AEDT.
