About the Host:
Flowwa

The Not-For-Profit Arts Organisation for social change:

Flowwa is a survivor-led, Not-For-Profit organisation that runs art x wellness workshops, nature retreats and peer-support for violence survivors (especially focused on family violence and human trafficking). Healing from trauma is a long up and down journey. Flowwa offers survivors calming and uplifting workshops and art therapy for free of charge.

Flowwa is named after our love for flowers and is rooted in the Japanese beliefs of healing and growing symbiotically with nature, where natural health comes from all humans, animals and plants living in balance. It's in our name "Flow-wa" - 'Wa' in Japanese means 'Harmony' and 'Community'. Lastly, 'Wa' is also the sound of amazement, joy, wonders and appreciation.

Like all kinds of flowers in nature, everyone's journeys of healing and growing is unique and everyone has an important role to play in our community. We view Survivors as the brave change makers at the frontier of social change. Their stories give so much insights and drive to make the world safer, healthier and kinder. So let's support one another :)
