Australia's largest kimono competition for kimono fans to participate in and enjoy!

Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of the kimono, a symbol of grace and elegance that transcends cultures.

However, not only for traditional dressers but cosplay styles, and unique arrangements are also welcome.

Join us to enjoy the kimono world with their family, friends, and lovers…

★Winners will be chosen by judges.

☛ Participant: 1st & 2nd Competitions are up to 35 each.

☛ The best 5 participants in each round will be chosen as finalists.

☛ Come to the Kimono information desk 1 hour before each competition starts.

※You can join only 1st or 2nd round competition.

☛ The top 5 participants in each competition can enter the final competition.

1st Competition Theme : Original design kimono ( Participant: up to 35 )

☛ Eligibility: Anyone wear your own kimono or Japanese-themed costume (Cosplays)

※ Self-made Only

☛ What to do: Cat walk with your costume on the stage

☛ The best 5 participants will be chosen

☛ Time: 12am～ 12:30am

★Participants should come to the information desk at 11:00am ( 11:30 final call )

★Winners must participate in the final competition.

2nd Competition Theme : Kimono with props (kasa, fan, accessories etc..)

(Participant: up to 35 )

☛ Eligibility: Anyone wearing your kimono or costume having props.

☛ Can be self-made or bought but higher points are for self-made. ※Cosplay should be related with kimono

☛ Checklist: □ Originality □ Creativity □ Uniqueness □ Impression

☛ What to do: Cat walk with your props on the stage

☛ The best 5 participants will be chosen

☛ Time: 14pm～14:30pm

★Participants should come to the information desk at 13:00 pm ( 13:30 final call )

★Winners must participate in the final competition.

Final Competition Theme: Total coordinate Participant: 10 ( 5 each from the Round 1 & 2)

☛ Eligibility: Top 5 winners from 1st and 2 rounds ※They can change costume from the previous rounds

☛ Winners of 1st and 2nd rounds must participate in the final competition.

☛ What to do: Cat walk with your kimono or costume and props on the stage

☛ Time: 15pm～15:30pm

★Participants should come to the information desk at 14pm (14:30 PM final call )

★Judge : 5 judges (including kimono teachers, a representative of the kimono club, etc...)

★Prize :

1st prize: Sydney⇔Return flight tickets to JAPAN

2nd prize: Japanese rice vouchers

3rd prize: Kinokuniya book vouchers

4th ~ 10th prize: Japanese restaurant meal vouchers and JAPAN EXPO shopping vouchers.

A ll finalists will receive their prizes.

Terms & Conditions :

Sectors: Sydney = Tokyo Return

Class: Economy Class x 1 Ticket

Travel Period: 1 April 2025 until 30 September 2025

(All travel to be completed by 30 September 2025)

1. Tickets are not exchangeable for cash, non-transferable, non-endorsable, non-reroutable and non-refundable under any circumstances.

2. Prize winner’s name change is not allowed.

3. Seats are subject to availability at the time of booking.

4. Ticket must be booked in designated booking class by J Culture Sydney.

5. Ticket is not eligible for mileage accrual & upgrading using mileage is not allowed.

6. Ticket is excluding applicable government taxes and surcharges. Applicable taxes and surcharges to be paid fully by prize winner.

7. Ticketing transaction will be completed and the taxes and surcharges will be charged in AUD and payable by major credit card only.

8. Ticket is valid on flights & dates shown on the ticket only. Travel dates and name changes are not permitted.

9. Ticket is valid for one month from the date of departure from Sydney however must be back by 30 September 2025.

10. Booking must be made at least 2 weeks before departure from Sydney for travel (based on departure date from Sydney and subject to seat availability in the designated booking class).

11. No extension of validity under any circumstances is allowed.

12. Changes are not permitted, once booking is confirmed.

13. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of each prize-winner and his or her companion. We make no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination.

14. The prize winner is responsible for obtaining the necessary visa required for travel.
