About this event

Join us on 26 January 2024 at the Collingwood Town Hall Reserve to honour the history of pain and suffering endured by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as a direct consequence of European invasion and colonisation.

We will also celebrate the enduring resilience, rich and vibrant culture, and significant achievements of First Nations peoples in Yarra and beyond.

The service will begin with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony from the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Traditional Owners. Light refreshments at the nearby Djerring Centre will follow the service.

A shuttle bus will be available for people needing transportation from the Collingwood Town Hall Reserve to the Invasion Day rally starting at Parliament House in the CBD around 10am.
