Description

Women in Media International Women's Day Breakfast

DR NIKKI STAMP

Our International Women’s Day Breakfast is returning to the Perkins Institute, with this year’s special guest Dr Nikki Stamp.

Nikki is a heart and lung surgeon at Fiona Stanley Hospital – one of only 11 female cardiothoracic surgeons in Australia.

Along with her amazing clinical work and research, she has written for numerous media outlets, featured as a host for the ABC’s science show Catalyst, was named as one of Mamamia's Inspirational Women You Can Look Up To in 2017 and was featured as one of Harpers Bazaar’s Women of the Year.

Nikki has a strong desire to change the way we think about heart health, and is a passionate supporter of the Heart Foundation and women's heart disease advocacy.

She is also about to feature as a host on a ground-breaking new Channel Seven program Operation: Live which will put audiences inside operating theatres.

As if that’s not enough, she has also released a book - Can You Die of a Broken Heart?.

Come and meet one of the most inspiring women in medicine and media in Australia at the stunning research facilities of the Harry Perkins Institute in the QEII Medical Centre campus in Nedlands, from 7 – 8.30am on Friday 8 March.

Last year’s International Women’s Day breakfast was a sell-out, with a long waiting list, so please make sure you BOOK NOW.
