Modelling Complex Systems and Crisis Response
This keynote discussion will be lead by Professor Mikhail Prokopenko, Director of the Centre for Complex Systems, The University of Sydney. He will discuss complex real-world societal issues, emerging as consequences of globalisation and various technological, demographic adn environmental changes. It will describe a cross-disciplinary modelling approach combining complex systems, large-scale computational modelling, and social sciences, and aimed at an integrated high-resolution forecasting of interdependent crisis at the national level for Australia.
