Event Information
Description
The workshop will support consumers and family members to have a greater understanding of basic research information and will cover topics such as: how research is funded; types of research; research terminology; and how to be an effective member of a research team.
The workshop is hosted by the Australasian Cerebral Palsy Clinical Trials Network (AusCP-CTN) Centre for Research Excellence (CRE). Visit the AusCP-CTN CRE webpage to find out more about our research program and vision https://cre-auscpctn.centre.uq.edu.au
Are you interested in helping cerebral palsy research? People with cerebral palsy and their families are the most powerful supporters and promoters of cerebral palsy research. The AusCP-CTN CRE will engage with parents of children with or at high risk of CP, individuals with CP, key stakeholders, consumer groups and clinicians through our annual workshops, public seminars, newsletter and social media.
This training workshop is specifically targetted for members of the public who would like to inform and shape research priorities in the area of cerebral palsy. This workshop is free, all workshop materials and lunch is provided.
Presenter is Anne McKenzie AM, Head of the Consumer and Community Health Research Network.
