About this event

  • 1 day 8 hours

This 2-day workshop is an introduction to the craft of the cooper or barrel maker. White coopering is the making of straight-staved containers such as buckets that can be used for holding liquids.

Your instructor, Tony Adams, will guide you through the process of making a barrel with hand tools. You will produce a wooden bucket complete with splayed and riveted metal hoops and a rope handle using traditional techniques.

At the end of the workshop, you will take your finished bucket home with you.
