Introduction to the Media Lab - Studio Induction

About This Event:
Did you know that Hurstville Library is equipped with a fully functional Media Lab that can be used by members of Georges River Libraries?
From photography and video to 3D design and animation, the Media Lab has a fully equipped photography and video studio with a range of studio lighting equipment.
We have a range of software accessible through the Media Lab PCs which includes the full set of Adobe Creative Cloud applications as well as Davinci Resolve and Audacity. We also have a huge selection in our Digital Tool Library and Musical Instrument collections that include DSLR Cameras, GoPros, handheld audio recorders and podcasting kits.
Join us for a Media Lab induction and learn how to safely use the equipment, book the space and realise your creative goals.
In this session you will learn:
- Simple studio lighting set-ups
- How to access our digital tools and musical instruments
- About software available on our Media Lab PCs including the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, tools for 3D design, video editing, and more.
- About upcoming Media Lab workshops.
Cost: Free
Age: 16+
Experience: No experience required.
Equipment: All materials and equipment will be provided.
Spaces are limited so bookings are essential.

- If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.
- If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
