About this event

Learn to use Story Maps, an easy-to-use story telling tool which allows you to weave a compelling narrative and share it with your audience.

What: Over 4 x 2hr sessions, you will use well-designed layouts to develop a Story Map based on your own research.

You will explore the potential of Story Maps for research communication; design and assemble your story; use Express Maps to provide spatial context for your research; and learn to promote your Story Map once it is created. This will give you an effective and visually appealing way to communicate your research impact to governments, funding agencies, and the public.

When: Online lab sessions will run from 10am-12pm on Thursday on the following dates:

  • 21 April
  • 28 April
  • 5 May
  • 12 May

Participation in all four of these Zoom lab sessions is required for this course.

Please note: training is for ANU staff and HDR students and Postgraduate students only.
