Description

The 'Introduction to Oncology for Physiotherapists and Exercise Professionals' Study Day is a comprehensive one day course, developed and run by the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology Department. The event will be held at the state of the art Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Parkville on Monday the 18th of June 2018.

The course is ideal for Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Allied Health Assistants and Exercise Professionals. Included content is aimed at recent graduates or those with limited oncology experience. It will cover introduction to cancer, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, principles of exercise in cancer, lymphoedema, haematology, palliative care and cancer care emergencies. In addition, there will be case studies outlining management of complex oncology patients in both the inpatient and outpatient / community setting.

Course notes along with morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea will be provided.

Early Bird Registration by Friday 27th April 2017: $250
