About this event

Introduction to Flow Cytometry is the first of a three part training plan designed for new users that require;

  • Induction into the Fluorescence Analysis (PC2) Facility
  • Introduction to work flow systems within the Shared Resource Lab
  • Instrument demonstration and software overview
  • Experiment design discussion and next setup support

The three sessions are:

1) Induction to PC2, awareness of a share resource lab, what is Flow, how it works and a software overview (if user has samples they can be incorporated in this session)

2) User brings their own samples. An instructor sits with user and runs through the acquisition process, records the data and exports the data (including a template)

3) User brings own samples, imports the Experiment Template, runs the samples on their own and the instructor supervises.

Further support is always offered and encouraged pending availability of instructor, minimum 3 days notice required.
