Where is ACORN Studio and what facilties are available?

ACORN Studio is located in a suburban area in Darling Heights, Queensland. Participants are kindly requested to be considerate of residents when entering and exiting the neighbourhood. There is easy access to the Studio and bathroom facilities are available (there are no disabled toilets on site).

Is parking available?

Accepted Answer

Street parking is available and there are two car spaces in the Studio driveway directly behind parked staff vehicles. The Studio opens 15 minutes prior to the commencement of each session.

Are all sessions held in the Studio?

Accepted Answer

ACORN offers certain sessions/events outside the Studio. We can also bring sessions to you. Session/event promotional information indicates the location of a session/course. Participants attend outdoor sessions/events at their own risk.

Question 4

What materials are provided?

Accepted Answer

Materials are included in the session/course fee unless otherwise stated. Tea and coffee will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks.

Question 5

Do I need to have art skills or previous art experience?

Accepted Answer

ACORN sessions and events are accessible and inclusive. Whether you  have art experience or are a complete beginner, our sessions are designed to meet you where you are.

Question 6

Can I withdraw or cancel my registration for a session/course?

Accepted Answer

Withdrawals received more than a week prior to the session commencement date, will incur an administration fee of $25. The remainder (minus Eventbrite fees) will be refunded. Withdrawals received a week (or less) before commencement of  a session are not refundable unless the position can be filled.

Question 7

What happens if ACORN cancells a session/event?

Accepted Answer

In the event of a session, course or event being cancelled due to insufficient enrolments or other circumstance beyond the control of ACORN, a full refund will be given.

Question 8

Can I "catch -up" a missed session?

Accepted Answer

Sessions missed are the participant's responsibility and are non-refundable. Participants are not entitled to a discount for missed sessions. “Catch-Up” sessions may be available in courses when options are available and Studio limitations do not prevent such.

Question 9

Can I bring my child to ACORN sessions/events?

Accepted Answer

Unless otherwise stated, ACORN sessions/events are for adults only.
