Introduction To Basic Woodworking

Introduce your young off-sider to the basics of woodworking with artisan Tim Schloss in this shared workshop experience designed for two-person teams of youngsters and adults. So one price - two participants!

In this two-day workshop you will learn how to use traditional hand tools to prepare, shape and complete a simple wood object. The skills you will explore include:

  • Milling and jointing
  • Sawing and planing
  • Drilling , gluing, and clamping;
  • Shaping, sanding and finishing.

All of this good work will go into creating a unique Adventure Sword essential to the imaginary quest of every young person.

No experience required. Suitable for young people 10+. All participants under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must be appropriately attired:

  • Closed toed shoes
  • No flowing clothes
  • No loose hair or jewellery.
