About this event

City of Swan Libraries are excited to present the ‘Introduction to Auslan’ program at the Midland Library.

Kim Kossenberg, an experienced Auslan teacher, will lead 8 sessions which teach basic skills to communicate with Deaf people in Auslan. The first session will cover Deaf Awareness training and the subsequent sessions begin with finger spelling and greetings and will cover a wide range of topics that involve simple, everyday language.

IMPORTANT: Please note that it is necessary to attend all 8 sessions as the skills taught in each lesson lay the foundation for the subsequent sessions. Please ensure you are available and able to attend each session before you book your ticket. If you are absent from a session without notice, your ticket for subsequent sessions may be cancelled.
