Learn and understand the basics of Facebook in this series of small, supportive and friendly workshops. Come to one or all of them and connect with others as you learn to set up an account and safely navigate the world of social media.
This session: Introduction to Messenger
How to install the Messenger app and send a message safely. There will be time to ask questions and practise.
What you need to bring:
- Your charged device (or you may be able to access a Library device)
- Your login and password details (for your eyes only!)
- Yourself (no prior knowledge needed!)
How it works:
Each topic will start with a lesson ranging from 30 to 60 minutes followed by 1:1 help with some of our lovely library helpers.
We’ll provide a room, a public computer (if you need one) and some tea, coffee and snacks to keep it interesting!
