Through art, music and dialogue, we honour these intimate settings as spaces of refuge, resilience, and growth. We host tri-annual pop-up exhibitions and immersive art parties that emphasise community, innovation, and diversity. Founded in 2019 by Jessica Dang, Platform was inspired by a vision to foster a circular society centered around art and music.𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗪𝗜𝗥𝗘 This year, we’re proud to partner with WIRE, a statewide organisation supporting women and gender-diverse people in Victoria. By dedicating this event to their cause, we aim to amplify their vital work in advocating for equity, social justice, and informed choices.𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗛𝗘𝗥 他 HER 他 strives to promote equality in the community for local and international musicians and artists through discourse and dance parties. HER explores issues of women and gender equality and supports all who contribute to the music and art industries. Cloudy Ku, who curates HER is currently putting together our stellar line up of DJs and we’ll be able to release more information as it comes. This panel discussion will dive into the importance of equity vs equality, unpacking the systems that continue to hinder gender equity and the ways we can challenge them. Each speaker will share their own experiences—both personal and professional—offering insight into how they’ve navigated and advocated for change. We’ll also explore how the conversation around gender equity has evolved over the years before opening the floor for audience questions.
