International Student Welcome – Aussie Sports Try-Out (Session 2)

Try an Aussie sport. Meet new friends. Start strong.

New to Australia? Curious what AFL actually is? Wondering why everyone talks about sport so much? This is your chance to try it for yourself.

Hosted by La Trobe Sport and La Trobe Sports Clubs, this session is designed especially for international students who want to have a go in a relaxed, zero-pressure environment. You do not need experience. You do not need to be sporty. Just bring comfortable clothes and an open mind.

You will rotate through different Aussie sports, meet club members, laugh a lot, and probably try something completely new. It is less about winning and more about having fun, making friends and stepping outside your comfort zone in a supportive space.

Think of it as your first proper Aussie uni experience. Move your body, meet new people, and discover how sport can become one of the easiest ways to build friendships at La Trobe.
