International Speaker Series 2017 | Hobart

MOONBALSSO is an architectural practice based in Seoul and founded by Moon Hoon in 2001. A hybrid of an architect and artist, Moon is interested in breaking the boundaries of architecture by experimenting, crashing, fusing, and mixing with various other disciplines. His buildings push the boundaries and contain playful elements, reflecting Moon’s open-minded attitude to architecture.

His major works include Rock It Suda, Two Moon, Wind House, and Sangsang Museum which was awarded a KIA prize in 2005. Also an artist, his drawings have been acquired by the Museum of Modern Art in NY and the Tchoban Foundation in Berlin.
