Intergenerational Creative Workshop - Seniors Festival 2026
Join local teens and seniors at the library for a relaxed, hands-on intergenerational art collaging session.
Step back in time and get creative together this Seniors Week.
Join local teens and seniors at Port Macquarie library for a relaxed, hands-on intergenerational art session, facilitated by local intergenerational program expert, Casey Baldwin from Intergen Connect. Together, you’ll create collages themed around your “younger years”, sharing favourite memories, music, places, and milestones while cutting, pasting, and arranging images and words that tell the stories of your lives. You’re welcome to bring a copy of an old photo, postcards, or mementos to include, or simply come along with your stories - everything else, including art materials and helpful guidance, will be provided.
This free workshop is a chance to connect across generations, spark conversation, and discover what we have in common, all while making something meaningful to share.
You’re welcome to book in with a young person or senior you know, or register as an individual and be paired with others on the day in a friendly, supported setting.
Spaces are limited to 10 young people (aged 10+) and 10 seniors (aged 50+) per session - bookings essential. Participants under 16yrs will need a parent/carer sign them in and out of the session.
Parents/carers are welcome to stay but please email us at community.activation@pmhc.nsw.gov.au in advance, so we can ensure there is enough space for everyone.
