Recommended for Seniors 55+

Art has the remarkable ability to go beyond age barriers and connect people from different generations together. Our Library's new Intergenerational Art Program aims to provide a platform for individuals to connect, learn, and inspire one another through creative expression.

Whether you are a seasoned artist or a complete novice, this program invites individuals of all artistic backgrounds to explore their creativity. Each participant can act as a teacher, mentor, or even grandparent/grandchild to those who may not have that tie at home.

Intergenerational Art Programs actively involve both older adults and younger generations, encouraging them to break down barriers and discover common ground through the universal language of art. Participants not only learn various artistic techniques but also help combat social isolation, find a new sense of purpose, and share valuable life lessons about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of community.

So, if you are over 55 and would love to get creative with the kids, have some fun, share your wisdom, and make new friends - join us for our monthly Intergenerational Art Program at Creative Makes Hastings.

Meet at the Library, and we will walk over to the art studio together (located opposite the library).

Free, bookings essential.

Note: If you can't make it on the day, please let us know, so that your tickets can be freed up for others to attend.
