Interactive Business Breakfast - Circular Economy Focus for 2026
Focus on where investment, leadership and effort can deliver the greatest impact in 2026 through the circular economy.
Circular Economy Focus for 2026
Join us for an engaging, interactive business breakfast exploring where investment, leadership, and effort can deliver the greatest circular economy impact in 2026.
We are delighted to welcome Ladeja Godina Košir, an internationally recognised circular economy leader from Europe, alongside a distinguished cohort of local circular economy experts and practitioners. Using a participant-led format, attendees will help shape the discussion around their priorities, drawing on practical case studies, actionable insights, and strategic dialogue.
The morning will feature three guest speakers, each sharing a concise 10-minute perspective grounded in real-world experience, followed by a facilitated, interactive Q&A focused on translating circular strategies into tangible outcomes—from organisational performance and risk management to competitiveness and innovation.
The breakfast will also provide a unique opportunity to explore how circular economy education is evolving globally. Drawing on insights from the CIRCO training program in the Netherlands, we’ll examine how students work on real-world challenges alongside trainers and industry professionals, and how these proven approaches could be adapted to strengthen and expand the CIRCO Challenge in Australia in 2026.
In addition, the session will delve into the EU–Australia circular economy collaboration story, building on the strong foundation established through the work of Usha Iyer-Raniga and Jacqueline Cramer. With the EU–Australia Trade Agreement potentially nearing completion in early 2026, and Australia’s new National Circular Economy Frameworknow in place, this conversation is both timely and strategically important.
This breakfast will serve as an introductory step toward the #EU Circular Economy Talk, planned for 2026 under the ECESP umbrella and aligned with COP31, within the broader context of EU–Australia–Turkey cooperation. Attendees will have the opportunity to help shape early thinking, key messages, and a shared narrative on how Europe and Australia can jointly accelerate circular solutions, innovation, and global leadership.
The event will be in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join online if they are unable to attend in person. Tea, coffee, and a light breakfast will be provided for attendees. We look forward to a morning of ideas, connection, and collaboration. All are welcome—please feel free to invite friends and colleagues to join the discussion.
