And.. let's not forget our sexy snack selection designed to suit many mouthfeels. (sweet, sour, salty, chewy, crunchy, zesty, spongey, spicy.. we treasure treats as much as tactile tablecloths and tenaciously tend to satisfying spectrums of taste, temp and textures. No biggie.
Intentional Art Process
A process (not goal) oriented art experience, that combines embodiment practices with a range of art materials, to connect more deeply with ourselves and allow insight.
This is a gently guided personal journey, travelled together, with the opportunity for group reflection and discussion.
Materials supplied, but feel free to bring any favourite substrates or art supplies you like.
Who is this for?
Our Venue is cosy af but has so much room for the kind and curious.
Maybe you’re queer, neurodiverse, asexual, gender fluid, polyamorous, stardust.
Maybe you’re an artist, lover, dreamer or 3 dragons taped together.
Maybe you manage many masks to survive.
Maybe not.
You could be in caterpillar, butterfly or pre-winged goo form, we don't mind.
Our art, heart and community driven events are about feeling safe, seen and welcome to be all you are.
Alternatives, explorers, misfits.
So-called ‘too much'ers, ‘not enough’ers, 'too sensitive's, 'too weird's.
'Too loud's, 'too quiet's, 'too blue's, tutus.. we love you.
So, all you delicious, ambrosial flavours that may have been scapegoats for the dysgeusia of others, join us in the comfy space we've made.
Heartists at the helm:
Bethrael
A rare blend of scientific rigour, artistic play, and heart-led presence, this month's heartist is an iconic leader of 'outside the norm' journeys. Drawing on a lifetime of unschooling, global exploration, deep dives into science, geometry, psychology, and animist ecology, Bethrael passionately designs hands-on learning experiences free from the constraints of conventional curriculum. A pianist, violinist, oil painter, poet and mother of 4, adept at identifying native plants, fungi, and animals—Bethrael inspires students of all ages and learning styles, centering joy, embodiment, and inclusivity. She's also discovered a handlebar moustache that can turn her prose into rhyme.
Ange
Angelafaithheartist is our dynamic lover, feeler, writer, theatremaker, performer and general shenaniganist.
Ange has a big fat passion for designing welcoming experiences for people to art and play. As panther as she is monkey and as buffalo, hummingbird, Ange has been facilitating delight, supporting emotional unravellings and assisting transformational journeys for over 20 years. She loves hugging, dancing, flash mobs that ask the big questions, and she regularly forgets that she once smuggled a maggot into several countries, as it squatted in her head.

Our 'Why?'
❤️People
We enjoy meeting others and value community.
❤️Self Love
Living in a city, -or just on earth during these times- in a society that promotes hustle and prescribes obligation to everything but ourselves, we find that our art and heart time can be an afterthought
❤️ADHD Hack
In our ADHD experience, no matter how much we love, need and recognise the importance of social/art/connection dates, staying in integrity with them hasn't been a thing we've achieved. Showing up for a plan we've made with others however, is a piece of delicious, dopamine cake. So, this is our hack. Maybe it will work for you too.
❤️Kin
We are queer, late diagnosed neurosparklies. We did the curious, arty, rose-coloured glasses, unboundaried-dreamer game for a long while. And although we enjoyed the confusing and disappointing fruits of the 'codependent, tragic romantic' story and the 'hermitting weirdo,' story, now we wanna hang out with other sexy misfits and make stuff.
We may not know a lot, but we do know that we always feel better after (and during) connecting with kind, curious community. Maybe you will too.
Will there be chocolate?
Great question! There'll definitely be something you'll find enticing in our 'Snack Nicholson' or 'Snackie Collins' baskets.
Also, we enjoy ease, so if it offers you more space to eat your dinner here, we'd love you to bring it with you and utilise our full kitchen.
So. If you:
-need some arting, embodiment or clarity
-wanna show up for your expression
-feel like a break from the kids/housies/news
-can't find time to priorise expression within late stage capitalism
-like exploring your depths/playing with poscas/putting paint on paper
Join us!
We think humans are better together.
Add art. Bam.
Your contributions help us continue to offer unique gatherings in a comfy, gorgeous, sensory space and provide refreshments and supplies however, It's important to us that our events be accessible to everyone and encourage you to get in touch should finances (or anything else) keep you from attending, please email thehearthexperience@gmail.com
