Inspiration Series - Jackie Yun – How to succeed in China
Tue. 11 April 2017, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm AEST
Haymarket HQ ‘Inspiration Series’ is a forum for entrepreneurial leaders to impart their stories. The Q&A format will explore how these inspirational entrepreneurs ‘created’ success, the importance of leadership, innovation and execution and their personal journeys.
‘Inspiration Series’ is a public event for you to broaden your thinking, tap into some creative wisdom and form valuable connections.
Each Q&A run for approximately one hour including question time from the audience.
Ticket proceeds from each event will go towards the speakers’ nominated charity.
The 1st Inspiration Series will feature Jackie Yun, co-owner and Managing Partner of the Wagas Group, a highly successful restaurant operator in China, who will talk about How to succeed in China. A Shanghai resident since the late 90’s, Jackie is one of Australia’s most successful entrepreneurs to have started in China.
Hear Jackie tell her story about going from one small cafe to 60 in the space of 15 years. Her story of success is now regularly held up as a template for others to follow, but that was not her plan when she first went to China to learn Mandarin. Like most good ideas Wagas was a combination of inspiration and opportunity.
Jackie’s nominated charity is EGRC. EGRC is dedicated to providing high school and university educations to impoverished young women from rural regions of Western China through financial sponsorship, personal support and mentorship.
Haymarket HQ is Australia’s first not-for-profit start-up hub supporting entrepreneurs to grow into Asia. If you are interested in sponsoring or partnering with Haymarket HQ for these monthly events or more broadly, email us for a chat.
