Forestville Montessori School presents an enlightening documentary INSIDE MONTESSORI, a film that aims to expand the education conversation.

Hosted by Chris Rehn, Chairperson of FMS and Chief Executive of Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC), and Denice Scala, Principal of FMS, with special guest, Associate Professor Bem Le Hunte, founding Course Director of the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation at the University of Technology Sydney.

Associate Professor, Bem Le Hunte, started her education at a Montessori school in Kolkata. She has a BA and MA in Social Anthropology from Cambridge University and a Doctorate from the University of Sydney, as well as professional qualifications in journalism and advertising. She has worked through three decades in the creative industries, on over 500 brands. She is also a novelist and has been published globally to critical acclaim and written scripts for documentaries and film. She has just completed her fourth novel and is researching creativity in education whilst continuing to prototype approaches to the world’s first transdisciplinary degree in Creative Intelligence.

INSIDE MONTESSORI (formerly Building the Pink Tower) is a documentary film that shines a light on how Montessori schools throughout the United States are working to support children in communities right now. These powerful stories of success for children from birth to high school illustrate why so many parents, children, and educators have embraced the Montessori approach to learning, and why the best practices of the proven, developmental and child-centered practices of Montessori education should be available more broadly.

What should the purpose of education be? To create learning environments that allow all children to achieve their full potential. Our changing world requires a learning approach that is proven, grounded in science, and flexible enough for children from all backgrounds to thrive with joy.
