Event description

Description

The UK legal profession has been one of the leaders of the change in our industry. They reinvented the business structure of law firms. They are in the process of changing how lawyers are educated. So, what do they know that we don’t? Do they think robots will replace lawyers? Is Billy Bot, the first junior barristers clerk legal chat bot, changing more than who and how counsel is chosen in the UK? Might he be the beginning of an entirely different way for clients to access legal services? Who is leading that discussion, providing the answers and brainstorming solutions in the UK? Please join us for a lunchtime session, where Stephen Ward, Managing Director of Clerksroom in the UK, will discuss these questions and more. Drawing on his more than three decades of experience as a barristers’ clerk, legalpreneur and legal disrupter, Stephen will also share his top tips on what will impact and shape the future of the legal profession in the UK over the next few years.

CLI is grateful to Russell McVeagh for hosting this event and to Michael Taylor, Senior Associate Litigation at Russell McVeagh for facilitating.

Lunch will be served from 12:30pm. Stephen will present from 1:00pm to 2:00pm and will be available for additional Q&A from 2:00pm to 2:30pm.

This event is free. Places are limited so please register early. Please also encourage your colleagues, clients and guests to join us and register free of charge as well. Registration includes lunch.

Please register by clicking the green Register button above.

We look forward to seeing you there!
