Description

Infrastructure Victoria invites you to attend an upcoming workshop to discuss infrastructure barriers and opportunities in regional Victoria.

Parts of Victoria are experiencing clear and persistent disadvantage, and structural economic and demographic changes are exacerbating these challenges.

We’re looking at infrastructure priorities for regional Victoria, with a focus on the infrastructure issues that prevent disadvantaged people from getting the services they need. This work will inform the state’s updated 30-year infrastructure strategy.

About the workshop

We are holding a workshop for peak bodies, service providers and researchers with an interest in disadvantage in Victoria’s regions. Participants will discuss the infrastructure issues that prevent people from accessing services and economic opportunities, as well as suggest potential solutions.

If you would like to get in touch with the project team, please contact Daniel Harrison or Jodi Sneddon on 03 9936 1731 or enquiries@infrastructurevictoria.com.au

About the 30-year infrastructure strategy

Infrastructure Victoria is updating the state’s 30-year infrastructure strategy.

This statewide, evidence-based strategy covers all types of infrastructure and will be developed in consultation with stakeholders and the community.

Building on the work of our Regional Infrastructure Needs project in 2018, we will identify the top infrastructure priorities for each of Victoria’s regions to reduce disadvantage and build on economic strengths while addressing environmental risks.

For more information on the 30 year infrastructure strategy, please visit our website.
