Background

SkillsIQ, under the direction of the Community Sector and Development Industry Reference Committee (IRC), is undertaking a project to update the Certificate II in Indigenous Environmental Health qualification and to update the content of nine Units of Competency included within the qualification to meet the current and future skills needs of Indigenous Environmental Health workers in communities.

Webinar Details

The webinar will focus on the proposed new draft 2 Qualification, one new Skill Set, nine Units of Competency and their associated Assessment Requirements.

  • HLTSS00064 Indigenous Environmental Health Support Work Skill Set
  • HLTPOP025 Provide basic repairs and maintenance to health hardware and fixtures
  • HLTPOP026 Monitor and maintain sewerage systems
  • HLTPOP027 Monitor and maintain water supply
  • HLTPOP028 Monitor and maintain rubbish collection and disposal systems
  • HLTPOP029 Work in a population health context
  • HLTPOP032 Determine and implement disease prevention and control measures
