Multiple Dates
Independent Review of Tasmania's Climate Change (State Action) Act 2008
Event Information
About this Event
The Department of Premier and Cabinet’s Tasmanian Climate Change Office has commissioned Jacobs to conduct an independent review of the Climate Change (State Action) Act 2008 (the Act). The Act sets the legislative framework for action on climate change in Tasmania.
We would like to take your views into account in our review of the Act. Your views will also be used to inform the development of Tasmania’s next climate change action plan for post-2021.
We invite you to participate in an online, interactive workshop via MS Teams.
The purpose of the workshop is to seek feedback from the community on a number of topics including Tasmania’s emissions reduction target, the opportunities and risks to Tasmania in developing a low carbon economy and how we build climate resilient communities. These topics will form the main points of discussion during the workshop.
There are four available dates and times for this workshop for you to choose from. Once registered, you will receive an email at least one hour prior to the workshop with a link to the MS Teams meeting.
Please note that we will be using Mural, an online interactive platform, which is not compatible with Internet Explorer or ipad/mobile devices. We recommend use of Chrome or Edge on a laptop or desktop computer.
We look forward to your participation in the feedback sessions and to hearing your views on this important issue.
