Other Presentations: Eight concurrent presentations on family and local history topics. These will provide an opportunity to hear about a range of issues of interest to individuals, and societies: experiences, successes, changes, and challenges in local and family history.
Group Meetings: Special interest groups and informal groups will have the opportunity to run their own sessions. These might include expert tables, society networking, one-name studies or one-place studies.
Situated in Brisbane's Western suburbs, Riverglenn provides an ideal conference venue in a secluded bushland setting. There is ample parking and Riverglenn is well served by public transport.
Registration includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. No food is to be taken into the venue.
History Queensland Inc. was established on 15 July 1995. Local and Family History Societies operate throughout Queensland because of the dedication of thousands of members who give their services voluntarily to promote their common interest. The aim of HQ is to act as an umbrella group that gives all such societies a united voice in promoting the interests of family historians, local historians and genealogists.
