IN PERSON Parliament Unpacked: Belonging & Representation

IN PERSON Parliament Unpacked: Belonging & Representation

Parliament of NSW, 6 Macquarie StSydney, NSW
Monday, Mar 16, 2026 from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm
Overview

Join us for a free panel discussion exploring how the diverse voices of communities across NSW are represented in Parliament today.

New South Wales is a representative democracy, in which the people entrust the task of government to elected representatives in the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council. These members are, in turn, responsible for representing all the people in their communities — including those whose views, backgrounds, cultures and life experiences may differ from their own.

In Parliament Unpacked: Belonging and Representation, Members of Parliament will reflect on how representation works in practice — from listening to community voices, to understanding different lived experiences and expressing those perspectives within the parliamentary process.

🗓 Monday 16 March 2026
⏰ 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm
📍 Jubilee Room, NSW Parliament
💻 Livestream available (ideal for those joining online)
