The Royal Women’s Hospital offers group Childbirth and Early Parenting education for Women's clients, both online & in-person.
This program is in-person.
As a participant, you will be able to access expert education and advice from one of the Women’s childbirth educators.
One ticket is for both you and your partner or support person to participate. If you are a single parent or your partner or support person cannot attend you may have another person accompany you for the sessions.
Places are limited so we recommend you book your spot as soon as possible, for a program around your 30th week gestation. Please book the ticket using the pregnant person's name.

Topics that will be covered include:
• Signs of labour, including when to come to hospital
• Progress of labour and birth
• Support in labour
• Practical coping methods during labour
• Medical options for pain management
• Medical assistance for birth
• Understanding breastfeeding
• Safe sleeping and settling
• Communicating with your baby
• Community supports for the family
As we cannot conduct Hospital Tours, we encourage you to watch the virtual tours on The Women’s website: https://www.thewomens.org.au/patients-visitors/cbe/childbirth-education-parkville-video-tour/A refund will only be available if cancellation is made, at least one week prior to the first booked session. If you book a program but do not attend part or all of that program, we are unable to refund you or relocate you to another group
