Improve your windows with DIY low-cost upgrades

Improve your windows with DIY low-cost upgrades

Doncaster LibraryDoncaster, VIC
Monday, May 18 from 5:55 pm to 7:30 pm AEST
Overview

Boost your home's comfort - join us for a hands on workshop and learn how to improve your windows.

By improving your home's efficiency, you can reduce energy costs and create a more comfortable home for your family.

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you will learn how to make DIY removable panels (also called secondary glazing) for your windows, boosting their thermal efficiency.

These easy-to-make panels will help keep winter warmth inside and block out summer heat, reducing energy costs and improving comfort year-round. Ideal as a low-cost, temporary option for homeowners and renters.

Some knowledge of hand tools would be useful, but not essential. During the workshop we’ll do a step by step demonstration running through everything you’ll need to make the panels at home.

Registrations are essential.

Our presenter

Lucinda is a highly experienced home energy efficiency assessor who has visited hundreds of homes to help people work out a roadmap towards lower energy bills and better comfort in all seasons. Her approach is that there is no right or wrong way to improve a home, rather it’s about finding the options that work best for each unique home and family, their capabilities and budget.

Power up a cleaner future

This event is part of our Electrify Your Life program, which supports residents to go all-electric at home, creating a brighter Manningham. Learn how to make the switch at Electrify Your Life.
