Ignite Training Conference 2026
Our 2026 conference theme is "The Lord is my God" focusing on the story of the prophet Elijah from 1 and 2 Kings.
| When the world feels against you, how do you keep trusting God? |
At Ignite Training Conference 2026, we’ll explore how to listen, trust, and obey God even when faith feels hard — through the story of the prophet Elijah, a man who faced exhaustion, pressure, and doubt yet never gave up. Come join us 12–16 January 2026 and be renewed to keep going in faith when life feels overwhelming.

| Strands |
The core of our conference is our strand material aimed at training people to teach God’s Word faithfully. As you return each year, you will be equipped with skills for exegesis, biblical theology and systematic theology. In partnership with Katoomba Christian Convention, we use proven material which has been used to train generations of leaders.
[Strand 1] - Exegesis
Learn how to accurately read, understand and then teach a Bible passage.
- If this will be your first time attending Ignite, please select this strand when registering
[Strand 2] - Biblical Theology
See that the entire storyline of the Bible is about salvation in Jesus, and identify and understand how any given Bible passage fits into this story.
- You must have completed Strand 1 before registering for Strand 2.
[Strand 3] - Systematic Theology
Work out how to determine and understand what the Bible says about a given topic.
- You must have completed Strands 1 and 2 before registering for Strand 3.
[Strand 4] - Transforming Hearts by The Word
* updated *
Understanding Scripture is only part of the work of teaching and discipling others. We also need to think about how that word applies to the hearts of the people we teach. Strand 4 takes all the tools and lessons of Strands 1-3 and focuses on how it transforms people. We’ll take time to think about how Scripture changes us and work through some exercises applying different genres of Scripture that we haven’t look at so far in Strand groups. These skills will equip you to teach and disciple others more effectively - and hopefully deepen your own walk with God!
- You must have completed Strands 1 to 3 before registering for Strand 4.
[Strand 5] - Writing a Bible Talk
Strand 5 will help you in communicating the point and purpose of God’s word in a clear and engaging way. This strand is for those who have completed at least Strand 1-3.
- If you completed Strand 5 in 2025, we recommend registering for Strand 4 in 2026.
