About this event

The IEEE Conference on Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces (IEEE VR) is the premier international event for the presentation of research results in the broad areas of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (VR/AR/XR).

Unfortunately, the 2022 event, which was slated to be held in Christchurch, New Zealand, has been forced to move online. We are hoping to replicate at least a portion of that experience for our Melburnian/Australian colleagues by hosting participants at La Trobe University in Melbourne's North. Presentations and keynotes will be presented on the big screen, and we'll do some socializing and networking, just like the old days - well, mostly.

La Trobe University is a COVIDSafe campus. This means that all attendees must be fully vaccinated and must check-in to our buildings using the ServiceVic app.

In addition, attendees must register as normal for IEEE VR 2022. https://ieeevr.org/2022/attend/registration/

Finally, attendance will be strictly limited. If you are planning to attend, please make sure to get your tickets here through eventbrite.

Hope to see some of you around campus!

  • Maintaining appropriate physical distancing of 1.5m
  • Wearing masks as directed
