IDAHOBIT 2026: At the heart of democracy
Join us to acknowledge the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) and support LGBTIQA+ communities.
Join us on Tuesday 12 May to recognise IDAHOBIT. IDAHOBIT stands for the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia, it’s a day to raise awareness about discrimination faced by LGBTIQA+ communities and promote inclusivity.
We will meet out the front of the Civic Centre for the raising of the Pride flag after which we will head inside to Function Room 1 to enjoy morning tea and hear from guest speaker Anastasia Le, a trans woman of Vietnamese heritage with lived experience of forced displacement.
This event is an opportunity to come together to recognise the strengths, contributions and resilience of the LGBTIQA+ community in Manningham, and the continued work that must be done to build a more inclusive community.
